Men's & Women's Track Performs Among Elite at Illinois Top Times Meet
On March 23, 2019, the Morris Redskins sent four athletes to the Illinois Top Times Meet at the Shirk Center at Illinois Wesleyan University. On the women's side, Gina Misek represented the program, competing in three events. In the 60M Dash, she finished 21st with a time of 8.22 seconds, in the 200M Dash, she finished in 15th place with a time of 26.94 seconds, and she finished 3rd in the state in the long jump with a 17' 5.34" effort, a personal best.
Dan Grant placed 7th for the boys in the pole vault, placing 7th with a vault of 13' 6".
Alejandro Ochoa qualified in two events, placing 12th in the 200M Dash with a time of 23.48 seconds, and finishing 5th in the 400M Run with a time of 51.71 seconds, which is also a personal record.
Also competing for the Redskins were Austin Hatcher and Jase Cole. Hatcher qualified in three events, placing 23rd in the 60M Dash with a 7.37 seconds, 13th in the 60M Hurdles with a time of 8.77, and placing 13th in the Shot Put with a throw of 45' 3.25". Cole placed 12th in the state in the 400M run with a personal best 52.77.
