Morris Makes Presence Known at Reed-Custer: Girls- 3rd, Boys- 1st

Both Redskin Track teams made the short trip on February 9, 2019, over to Braidwood, Illinois, for the Reed-Custer Invitational. Both teams performed well in the 10-team field, with the girl's squad taking third overall, while the boys earned the championship trophy. This marked the first invite championship win in the history of the boys program. Full results can be seen by clicking here.

Place winners for the girl's squad include:

  • Gina Misek, 1st Place- 200M, 3rd Place- Long Jump

  • Alexis Johnson, 2nd Place- 60M

  • Abby Cunningham, 2nd Place- 3200M

  • Abby McKinney, 4th Place- 400M

  • Maddy Knapp, 5th Place- Pole Vault

  • Teagan Sandvick, 6th Place- 1600M, 8th Place 800M

  • Alexis Smyk, 6th Place- 60M Hurdles

  • 4x200M Relay (Smyk, Misek, Johnson, Kjellesvick), 1st Place

  • 4x800M Relay (Landers, Sandvick, Cunningham, Mettille), 4th Place

  • 4x400M Relay (Matney, McKinney, Kjellesvick, Smyk), 6th Place

For the boys,

  • Alejandro Ochoa, 1st Place- 60M, 200M, 400M

  • Austin Hatcher, 1st Place- Shot Put, 3rd Place- 200M

  • Tony Pethtel, 1st Place- 3200M, 4th Place, 1600M

  • Dan Grant, 2nd Place- Pole Vault

  • Nic Davy, 3rd Place- Long Jump

  • Jace Cole, 3rd Place- 400M

  • Francisco Perez, 3rd Place- 60M Hurdles

  • Alex Warrick, 4th Place- 3200M

  • Ryan Lain, 4th Place- High Jump, 6th Place- Long Jump

  • Caleb Holliday, 8th Place- High Jump
